Australia’s Regional Funding Supports Local Businesses and Visitor-Economy Infrastructure

On 27 October, the New South Wales Government announced $50 million for 20 projects intended to create or retain 624 jobs across the southern Murray–Darling Basin. The funded projects include regional infrastructure and business upgrades, but the announcement did not identify a separate tourism or hospitality contract value; accommodation providers, regional tourism operators and event businesses can explore visitor-demand forecasting and operational analytics, while HPC can support data-driven planning with a tailored quotation based on requirements.
