Rheinmetall and MSC Acquire Romania's Mangalia Shipyard

German defence manufacturer Rheinmetall and Swiss shipping company MSC were awarded the acquisition of Mangalia shipyard for €138 million on 19 October, with plans to develop the facility for civilian and military shipbuilding. Industrial suppliers are targeting contracts worth $27,500 to provide marine equipment, fabrication services, industrial maintenance and specialist workforce support.
